Baptisms
Downfield South Church warmly welcomes enquiries regarding infant or adult Baptism. The Baptismal Service (Christening) takes place within the church service on a Sunday morning, this would normally be the first Sunday of the month.
If the Baptism is for a child then his/her parent(s) or guardian is asked to take vows where they will promise to bring the child up within the Christian faith. If the Baptism is for an adult the candidate will take the promises to live a Christian life for his/herself. For adult Baptism there is the option to be Baptised at a different time. There is a place at Downfield South for
God Parents to be included in the service.
