July Dog Blog

Oops sorry...you'll need to excuse me, I am trying to eat a huge piece of birthday cake while I write my blog. It was my big, big brothers birthday yesterday. He is now the grand old age of 21 so he went out for dinner with his grandparents, aunt, uncle, mum, dad, brother etc. (Missy and I were not invited) and then came back for cake. They were a bit later going out to the restaurant and had to change the time of the table because of the tennis match. They began to think they would be eating breakfast not dinner if someone did not win soon. I tell you, by the end of the match I didn't care who won I just wanted my bit of birthday cake. There is not a lot of cake left so I am eating it as fast as possible before it runs out. I know what they say about a moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips but as I am not going on holiday this year I feel I can take it easy in perfecting my swimsuit body. Talking about swimsuits hasn't the weather over the last few days been brilliant...I could get used to this. Missy and I have been at the beach a few times and have loved running in and out of the water. There is nothing better on a sunny warm day than walking along the beach and going for a paddle. I am not sure what the weather holds for this week but if we can get to the beach a few more times it will be brilliant. Well that's about it for now. I will try and write something soon but for now BFN

Well as I write this it is another sunny day in Dundee. My sister has already been out for a walk this morning but I decided it was better to stay in my brother's bedroom and keep him company. I have not really been out that much recently as my mum and dad have been so busy so there have been no trips to my favourite beach. Mum and dad did visit St Andrews the other day but I was not invited...it must have been an oversight on their part. (I am sure it is not because I would have mooched at their table during lunch and anybody elses table come to that.) Well I will sign off now and write when I have something else to add.

I must admit the last week has been a bit of an anti climax for me and Missi as we still have not really recovered from Tom Watson not winning The Open Championship at Turnberry last weekend. As you will know from reading my previous blog I am a qualified PGA coach (I coach the Church of Scotland Golf Team) and I was just telling Missi that if I had had ten minutes with Tom Watson before he played the final round things could have been so very different...he just needed to hit a positive chip at the last. Oh well, maybe next year. With the weather being so bad this week I have been watching more golf on the TV and hope Tom might win the Seniors Open but I have to say I am quite keen on Uncle Sam Torrance being a Scotsman and all that. You might be interested to know that along with some golfers from Cairdy Golf Club we are attending the Kirkton Festival on 9 Aug between 1100-1500 hrs at the community centre when we are going to show people how to play golf. It should be great fun and I hear that Downfield Dave the Dragon might come along just to annoy me and Missi. Signing off for now, Ally x
