June Dog Blog
Thursday 4th June
Before you say anything I know I have not been that good at keeping up with my blog this week...what can I say I have been very busy entertaining my new friend and showing him around Dundee. It's a very long time since he last saw Downfield. When he was last out the minister had hair! That just shows you how long ago it was. As you can see from my photo below I am now Downfield Dave's new best friend. He is a really nice dragon when you get to know him, although my fur is a bit burned at the edges...a word of warning watch out when he sneezes. Anyway we have been very busy visiting all the sights in Dundee, mind you I think his appearance in the Telegraph on Monday has gone to his head a bit as he kept stopping people and asking if they wanted his autograph. I have left him for the moment and he is back in the cellar of the church waiting for Sunday. He says he has an important part to play as he is going to explain the Trinity to the boys and girls and probably the minister too...rather him than me. Well I hope you like the picture and I will tell you on Monday if Dave succeeded in his Trinity challenge. BFN

Congratulations to my Golf Team who represented the Church of Scotland in the annual match against our friends in the Church of England. The boys done great and stuck to the game plan I set them from the opening tee shots. It has been a pleasure to coach the team and we look forward to going down to England next year to defend the trophy. I have to tell you it was a tight match and at lunchtime the game was tied at three all but the singles proved to be our forte as the Scots romped to an 11 - 1 win. I am considering moving into professional golf coaching following the success of this years match and you may find me coaching at Caird Park Golf Club beside our church in the near future. The question is can they afford me?
Yours humbly Ally.![]()

So sorry it has taken me so long to add to my blog but I have been on holiday in Plymouth and I am not back long. Missy and I had a lovely time down in sunny Devon although it was a bit sad too as we will not be going back down there now for a long time. As Missy and I are both from the west country moving up here is a bit like emigrating to us, although the locals do appear to be quite friendly! While we were down in Plymouth we managed to get some swimming in at our favourite beauty spot. My mum did take some film on her camera of Missy and I swimming but unfortunately cannot figure out how to get it off the camera and onto the computer...I am beginning to think that it would be quicker to do it myself. Anyway until she can find out how to do it I have added a photograph to let you see how lovely it is. Our favourite place for swimming up here is the beach at Monifieth. Well I better sign off for now as I am starting to feel a bit sleepy...well I can't be expected to work for more than 10 minutes every hour you know! I am a chocolate labrador after all. So BFN
