Cross Out Child Poverty Scotland

Rev Neil Galbraith Cheif Executive of Glasgow the Caring City Charity.

Scotland is a responsible, caring and generous nation.
Scotland’s Children are our richest asset and must be encouraged to make the most of every opportunity available to them, gaining insight into their future pathways whilst being encouraged to reach their personal goals and aspirations in a nurturing and rewarding environment.

Cross Out Poverty will create funds and resources, whilst developing opportunities, for children to explore their potential in a nation which values its young people and its greatest natural asset.

This St. Andrews Day we want the people of our great nation to look to themselves as we create a foundation of proposerity for our future and the future of our Country.
Downfield South will be selling Cross Out Child Poverty Scotland badges to support this event.  All the money raised in Dundee, stays in Dundee.

Church of Scotland Golf Trophy

Scott and Ian Sturrock with Golf cup

The Minister (Scott Shackleton) pictured with Ian Sturrock (Sturrock, Comb and Davidson, Funeral Directors) who kindly sponsored the Church of Scotland in their recent annual golf match against the Church of England.  As the trophy in the picture suggests the Church of Scotland Golf Team won the match by 14-4.  The tie was played in its usual competitive but friendly manner and the Scots look forward to taking the trophy south next year when the match will be played at North Hants Golf Club.
