Service order - There are two Marriage Orders  which can be used separately or in combination. This will be discussed with the Minister when you are planning your wedding. Can anyone get married in Downfield South Church?
Members of the congregation, regular attenders and those who reside in the parish are entitled to apply for marriage. 

How much does it cost to get married here?
We charge £200 for members and £300 for non-members. This includes the minister's time, use of the church, the organist and the church officer - but not a video license.  

When does the ceremony take place?
The mariiage ceremony can take place on any day of the week, but there may be some time restrictions - such as Sunday mornings.

How many people can the church accomodate?
There is seating for 300 on the ground floor and 100 in the balcony.

Is photography and filming allowed in the church?
Photography and filming are allowed in the church - but photography is not permitted during the ceremony and any video camera must remain in a static position.

Am I allowed to use an alternative minister?
An alternative minister is welcome to take the service.

Will the church supply any flowers or decorations?
It is normal for the wedding participants to organise flowers and Orders of Service, although hymn books can be used.

Is there access for guests with mobility difficulties?
Hand rails are in place at the main door, and a ramp allows access for prams and wheelchairs. There are disabled toilets.

Is there a loop system fitted in the church?
A loop system is installed in the church.

Can the church recommend an organist? 
Yes - we can recommend our own organist
