Can anyone get married in Downfield South Church?
Church practice is that members of the congregation, regular attenders and those who reside in the parish are entitled to apply for marriage. 

Does it cost anything to get married in Downfield South Church?
There is a cost involved in getting married at Downfield South Church which is discussed with the Minister during your first meeting, this includes the use of the church, payment for the organist and the church officer.   This charge does not include a video license, which is required by the Government if you are recording the ceremony, which is a further £100.00

Can the ceremony take place on any day of the week?
Yes, the ceremony can take place on any day of the week.

How many people can the church accomodate?
The church can accomodate 300 on the ground floor and 100 in the balcony.

Is photography and filming allowed in the church?
Photography and filming are allowed in the church however a copyright fee has to be paid.  No photography can take place during the ceremony and any video must remain in a static position.

I am allowed to use an alternative minister?
An alternative minister is welcome to take the service.

Will the church supply any flowers or decorations?
It is normal practice for the wedding participants to organise any flowers and Orders of Service, although hymn books can be provided.

Is there suitable access for guests with mobility difficulties?
A ramp is in place for access to the church and there is a disabled toilet.

Is there a loop system fitted in the church?
Yes, a loop system is installed in the church.

Can the church recommend an organist? 
The church organist can be approached but a fee is payable to the organist.

There are a couple of choices for the Marriage Order of Service, either can be used or a combination of both.  This will be discussed with the Minister when you are planning your wedding.
